Tour of Instruments
- Brass instruments, although not originally
made of brass, are among the oldest instruments. Many were originally
made of horns and were used for all kinds of functions - religious,
ceremonial, or utilitarian. Metal horns of all sizes and forms,
provided with cup-shaped mouthpieces, began to be used by hunters
and medieval watchmen. These metal horns were embellished and
handsomely decorated for use by members of medieval guilds.
